Blender Safety Systems

Electrical - Resettable fuse button on the bottom of the base protects against excess motor load causing shorts and overheating potentially caused by a stuck blade.
Mechanical - The carafe includes a mechanical safety switch so the motor cannot spin without the carafe securely seated on top of the motor.
Operational - The blender will not operate unless all the controls start in the safe/off position.

Operating the Blender Safely

Power: Plug the blender motor base into an appropriate 120v outlet
Carafe: Ensure the carafe is placed on the motor base and is lying flat against the bottom rubber. Ensure the ingredients inside the carafe are not stuck where the blade can't reach or jamming the blades in place. Ensure the lid is secured flush to the carafe top prior to continuing to prevent splatter when the blender operates.
Controls:
- Ensure the left side soup/pulse switch is in the middle position
- Ensure the rotating timer control is rotated all the way to the left "Off" position
- Ensure the right side on/off switch is in the "Off" position.
Turning the Blender On:
- Once all the controls are set to the safe/off positions listed in the "Controls" section above, flip the right side on/off switch upward to "On". If successful, you will hear an audible beep confirming the blender is on and ready to operate. The blender will not spin in this state, it is simply on and ready to operate.
- Once on, you may use the left side soup/pulse switch to pulse the blender motor OR use the center rotating selector to pick a rotational speed. This step will cause the blender motor to spin, so ensure the carafe lid is on tight prior to running the blender.
- Stopping the
Stopping the Blender:
- If using the left side soup/pulse switch for temporary blending, simply let go of the control to stop the blender from spinning.
- If using the center rotating selector for ongoing blending, simply rotate the selector counterclockwise (top of the selector should spin towards the left) to the "Off" position to stop the blender.
- When using either the left or center motor controls, you can immediately turn the blender off by flipping the right side on/off switch downward to the "Off" position.

Love except for the lid

This is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a high-powered blender that doesn't cost more than your rent. The only thing I wish were a little better design is the lid. The seal is a removable rubber gasket, and while it does the job and seals while using the blender, it's a little tough to get off, and the rubber piece can slide off. Having seen a friend's name-brand fancy blender and used it, I can say the lid design on those is superior. So far, I love everything else about this Brandless blender!

Love this blender!

After 10+ years with a ninja blender I read about this one and decided to try it. I love it more than my ninja and love the price even more!

Lid terrible, blender okay

I read the reviews and thought yes! I can get a replacement **** at 1/3 the price but the lid is hard plastic, not rubber like the ****. The seal is going to break soon I can tell. I hate that you have to turn it all the way down to "restart it" if you turn it off. You can turn the dial to 7 and press start like my ****. Overall, Would I buy it again? No, but for $100 you get what you pay for.

Blends protein shakes really well

You have to turn speed dial to off before you turn it on or the safety feature catches. I bought this blender to replace my food processor, it blends fast and very smoothly. You must clean it right away, put about 1 cup of water in and blend to remove residue. Otherwise stuff drys on bottom

Love my Product!

I love the power of this blender! It is a quality product at a good price. It purees food items to a very smooth texture. I will definitely consider Brandless products in the future.

So far so good

I really would love that other expensive brand blender, but simply cannot justify the cost. That said, so far I am extremely happy with this purchase. I make a lot of smoothies and use frozen fruits and avocado, as well as greens. This thing blends a velvety smooth smoothie! Seems very powerful!
