Worked out to be the perfect size for my kitchen spice drawer.
I am using glass wherever I can. This is part of my plan to avoid plastic
I purchase my spices at the local Abundance Cooperative Food Market. I can purchase small, 1 or 2 ounces/28 or 56 grams of more than 90 spices. Generally the Abundance's spices are organic and very fresh since the Coop's members tend to use spices in their cooking. Rather than over pay for a big container of spices or place the spices in a large (~4 oz/112 g. contain which will oxidize the spices' flavor I've been searching for this size spice jar. Glass is a preferable container for fresh, dried, & ground spices.
I intend to purchase more of these jars and use them, filled with various uncommon spices or herbs which I will grow this year. I also plan to give the filled jars as gifts to family and friends.
I love them !!! Will be ordering more soon, Keep them coming. :D
Love these little jars with their flip top lids. I can store twice as many jars as before in my spice rack. Could use some taller ones but need the same diameter. I buy fresh spices by bulk, so get just enough to fill the bottles.
I put the spices from my larger bottles in these and then can put them in the drawer next to the stove alphabetically. They work wonderfully and are easy to fill.
I’ve bought these spice jars multiple times now. We love using them as pill cases, because of the easy flip top on half of the cap. I think they’re too small for spices, but they used to have the regular (tall) sized version for that purpose - if that’s what you’re looking for.
